Wellness Exams
Annual Wellness Exams for cats and dogs are very valuable in insuring the longevity of your pet. During your pets annual exam, we will check and examine all body systems, and explain what we find.
-
Surgery
We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. IV catheters are placed and your pet is given fluids during certain procedures.
We offer a full range of surgical services. Fairfax Vet Hospital offers various surgical options to minimize your pet's stress and pain levels while making a recovery move more quickly and smoothly.
-
Dental Care
Our dental services include teeth cleaning with an ultrasonic scaler and polishing, tooth extractions, and minor oral surgery. Dental disease can lead to damage to the liver, kidneys, and heart valves. Routine dental care, the use of Oravet Chews, and brushing are recommended for dogs and cats. Ask us to show you how.

Diagnostic Services
Our lab is equipt with blood, urine, and stool tests while you wait.
We use digital x-rays to help diagnose several diseases, broken bones, tumors or foreign objects that may have been swallowed. X-rays can also evaluate internal organs such as the liver, kidneys, uterus, and heart.
Ultrasound services are available for pregnancy diagnosis and for identifying disease conditions involving the internal organs.
